REPAIR:  We specialize in mechanical repair and service work including a simple oil change and check over,  brakes, wiring problems, engine rebuilds and transmission work.  We will repair what we can or obtain new parts for you from specialist parts suppliers both in the USA and England, and will always discuss options and prices with you before work is done.

How to Find Us:

We are located at Forge Valley Business Park, Mills River (off Hwy 280) in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Just 8 miles from Asheville Airport and I-26. 

10 miles from Hendersonville, south Asheville and Brevard.      (Next to the new Mills River Fire Station)

from I-40 / I-26 / Asheville    Take I-26 Exit 40 (Asheville Regional Airport) Turn right, pass the airport, continue on through Mills River. We are on the left just over a hill at Forge Valley Business Park,  8 miles from the intersate.

from Hendersonville:  From Historic Main Street take Asheville Hwy (25 N) turn left on Hwy 191 to junction with Hwy 280 in Mills River. Turn left, go 4 miles, we are on the left at Forge Valley Business Park (half way between Mills River and Pisgah Forest)

from Brevard: take Hwy 64 to Pisgah Forest (Wal Mart), go straight ahead on Hwy 280 about 7 miles, we are on your right at Forge Valley Business Park, quarter of a mile past the BP station.

from South Carolina:  from I-26 W, take exit 40 (Asheville Regional Airport) turn Left at top of ramp, pass the airport and travel west on Hwy 280, go through Mills River, we are on the left 8 miles from the interstate.



Rolls to Mini, no job too large or too small!  Call us for a simple oil change, or full engine rebuild.

  • What are your  OPENING HOURS? 

* Usually:  Mon-Fri      9.00 till 6.00

All work is by appointment and can include evenings and weekends by prior arrangement. 

* We are usually here Monday - Friday from 9:00 to 6:00 but being a small business we do sometimes have to be away from the shop so, if you don't have an appointment please call before making a special trip  (828) 890 9076 or 551 3340.

 

 

  • Can you work on my Range Rover / Discovery / Freelander / Defender ?  

YES - we love Land Rovers!  We have Land Rover specific computer diagnostic equipment  designed to diagnose and clear warning light faults in vehicles up to 2004 Discovery II, and have worked for many years on all older Land Rover and Range Rover models.

We  use your choice of after-market or genuine Land Rover parts.  We will never try to sell you repair work you do not need and will discuss all your options to let you make informed decisions - we offer a friendly and economical alternative to a high-price dealership, or shop which may not know British cars.

  • Why should I bring my Land Rover here for an oil change rather than a lube shop?

To look after and maintain your Land Rover properly we believe you should use the right quality oil and the correct oil filter.    We see many avoidable engine problems in vehicles which have been serviced with cheap oil or not been maintained regularly.  

While here, Tony will give your Land Rover a look over - he's an experienced qualified Land Rover technician and he'll make sure everything is where it should be.

We use top quality CASTROL oils - (as recommended by Land Rover) and a genuine Land Rover filter.

We strive to be environmentally friendly and recycle all used oil and filters.

We think it is always good to know what you get for your money!

 Did you know a genuine Land Rover oil filter has a valve to stop oil draining back out of the engine when it is switched off, preserving the life of your engine?  We also fit a new washer which most "lube shops" miss.

  • Do you work on modern JAGUARS? 

We do love to work on older Jaguars (1950's / 60's)

  • Do you sell parts? 

We do not keep many parts in stock, but we may be able to order something for you from specialist British car parts suppliers in the US or England, or point you in their direction  Just ask.....   oldenglishcars@earthlink.net   (828) 890 9076    Pre-payment required for all parts-only orders.

 

 

  • My car needs tires and state inspection - Can you do that too? 

Although we don't do that here we can take care of it for you if your car is with us for repair.

 

 

  • Do you have a waiting list? 

For repair and service work we will get you in quickly.  Call for an appointment

For mechanical restoration and vehicles which may need to be in the shop several weeks we do have to spread the work out and we currently have more work than we have room in the shop.  Just call us to discuss.

 

 

  • Do you do Paint/Body work and Upholstery?

We do not have the room or staff to be able to offer these services to you in our shop.  We can refer you to excellent local companies.
